Scope
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has issued PAR-25-179 to support research that identifies and evaluates strategies for integrating evidence-based health interventions into clinical and community settings. The goal is to address the gap between the development of medical breakthroughs and their routine use in practice. According to peer-reviewed research (Damschroder et al., 2009), using a consolidated framework for implementation science is essential for understanding the complexities of health service environments and ensuring the sustainability of interventions.
Eligibility
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status
- For-profit organizations and small businesses
- State, local, and tribal government agencies
Partnership and Collaboration
Applicants are encouraged to form interdisciplinary teams that include practitioners, community stakeholders, and policymakers. This collaborative approach ensures that implementation strategies are culturally relevant and sustainable across diverse populations. Special emphasis is placed on projects addressing health disparities and equitable access to care through the use of rigorous dissemination and implementation (D&I) methodologies.
